African Mutual Assistance Association of Missouri, formerly
known as Ethiopian Community Association of Missouri was established
on April 10, 1983 by visionary Ethiopian refugees basically for
mutual assistance and to ease the burden of social adjustment
in a new country. The name change has happened due to an ultimum
demand for diversity, flexibility and to give opportunity and
freedom of functionality to ethnic based communities.
AMAAM is a not for profit
501(C)3 organization that provides supportive, complementary
and educational services to African refugees.
We are committed to offer quality
social services to refugees and immigrants. It has 20 years
rock solid experience. Since 1983 It has served as many as 15,000
refugees and immigrants in social adjustment.
African Mutual Assistance Association of Missouri provides
social services with out regard to sex, religion, national origin,
age, political opinion, income, and disability.
